The Preston Team
Simon
Simon came to Emmaus from a business background perhaps expecting an environment of happy ineptitude. In fact the opposite is true. Emmaus is packed with professionalism and levels of motivation that I have never seen in commerce. The fundamental aims and methodologies of Emmaus are impressive and when seen in action in a well run community they are inspiring. The Paris Salon was a particular highlight that Simon won’t forget.
He considers himself lucky to have come to Preston at the most interesting stage of development and expects his next job to be dull at best in comparison. Simon thinks Preston could not be in better hands than those of Eddie and Franky who he thinks will become a formidable team backed by our strong board of trustees and the hands on and determined Chair.
I look forward to helping put the final pieces of the jig saw together in my remaining weeks here.
Eddie
Eddie has been a passionate worker for the homeless for many years. He confesses that if he had not got the Emmaus job that he would have borrowed the money and opened a homeless facility himself!
Eddie strongly believes in community building and will encourage the personal development of every companion.
